10km championships

The county 10km championships were incorporated into the Fr Murphy AC road race in Kildalkey on Easter Sunday. Once again the Trim AC contingent came out in great numbers to support the race.
Their efforts were rewarded with category wins, medals and team medals.
The womens team of Laura Cotter, 2nd W40Denise Molloy 2nd W35, Shirley McEvoy 3rd W45 and Avril Winters combined to get runners up spot in the inter club event.The mens team also finished second in their inter club event. Dermot Leonard led them home in 37.28 with Mark McGee close behind taking runners up in M40. Enda Markey 1st M45, and Stephen Keane completed the squad. Other grade podium places went to Barry Harten 2nd M45,Martin Brogan 2nd M50, Micky Peppard 3rd M50, Pat Comey 1st M60, David Hawcroft 2nd M60
