The organisers of the 2016 Braveheart 2016 have chosen two very deserving charity groups for this years race.
Our photo shows Mairead McMorrow representing the Conor Foley Neuroblastoma Research Foundation and Don Mahon representing the Meath Louth branch of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.
The Conor Foley Neuroblastoma RF was set up to commemorate Conor, a young neighbour of Mairead who courageously battled the disease for most of his young life. His family have embarked on a campaign to raise funding for futher research in this country.
The Meath Louth branch of CFI provides patient and family support service for the north east region at the Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. Dons daughter is a CF patient and he is a very active fundraiser for this cause.
You can help by signing up today for the race at www.trimac.ie The first 400 entries will get one of these stylish race tshirts by 42kmrunning.
