The Killarney Adventure race is one of Irelands premier endurance events and the worlds best attended adventure race. This year 2,500 athletes went to the line to take part in the race which involves cycling,running, kayaking and overcoming some of Irelands most scenic but challenging terrain. Ellen Vitting completed this years event a full ten minutes faster than in 2014 and came home the third woman overall in the elite category in a time of 4h33m. Andy Reilly also took part int he elite category and he clocked in at 5h10m. Making her adventure race debut was Darlene Reilly who took part in the 27km race which involved a climb of the so called "Cardio Steps" near Torc Waterfall and Mangerton Mountain. Darlen had aimed for 3 hours to complete the course but exceeded her own expectations by 20 minutes in a time of 2h40m

Join our club

We have juvenile and adult training groups. We cover track and field, cross country, road running and trail/ mountain running. Club coaches have undertaken Athletics Ireland coaching courses and many of them bring years of experience and knowledge to share with members.
