Tri an Mhi go well in the Kingdom

The Killarney Adventure race takes place every October in the shadow of the Magillicuddy Reeks and along the scenic lakes. This year the organisers have put on an extra race to cope with the increased demand for adventure racing in one the most beautiful but challenging areas in Ireland. The race consisted of a mixture of cycling, trail running and kayaking over a combined distance of 55km along sections of the Ring of Kerry, the Kerry way and the Black Valley.
This new event on the calendar proved a happy hunting ground for a trio from Trim who compete with the Tri an Mhi triathlon club.  Alan Kearney put in a super performance to complete the course in 2h39m10s for third place overall. In the womens race Ellen Vitting had an impressive performance when taking second place in the womens overall competition in a time of 3h03m21s. Peter Millen took his first ever category win in the M50 grade with a time of 3h09m29s.
