An eloquent expression by Andrew
Posted by Ciaran Tobin on 17 October 2016
Andrew Lynam is a young man who has been a member of Trim AC since childhood. He is well known at county, Leinster and national level as one of the youngest and most competent officials/admistrators in the country. Here is Andrews eloquent and appreciative expression of the love and loss felt by himself and his younger sister Marita for their parents Tom and Ann.
The sympathies, prayers and thoughts of club members are with you Andrew and Marita.
"Just a little advice for all of you out there,
This Wednesday I will be sadly saying my final goodbye to my second parent. This is something that I didn’t think I would ever have to do and it is something I am still not prepared for.
I would just like to say to all of you out there to please get to know your parents, as anytime you have with them will never be enough.
I am lucky enough to have had 23 years of cherished memories with my mom but not so fortunate to know my father as well who passed away 15 years ago next month. So please do this sooner rather than later as you never know what life has in store for you next!
An old quote from Irish folklore: “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal”.
Love,
Andrew & Marita
Tom Lynam: 1936-2001
Anne Kilduff-Lynam: 1954-2016"
