Belpark July Duathlon
Ellen Vitting won the 3rd round of the Belpark TC Dublin Duathlon series race in the Phoenis Park last Weds evening. It was her second victory in the series and left her the top ranked female duathlete in the 2015 series. On Saturday she finishe just a minute off the top slot at the Donadea Duathlon. Another trim athlete Denise Molloy was top ranked in the female age group rankings at Donadea.
On Sunday Ann Tobin was 2nd W50 at the Mount Bolus 10km in Offaly.
Achill Half Marathon
The scenic island of Achill in Co Mayo attracted another huge number of Irish and international entrants last saturday to its half and full marathons,
The terrain and high winds added to the challenge of the event. Mark McGee put in a great effort in the half marathon to finishb in 1h27.42.
Fore 10km and 5km
Well done to Ellen Vitting who was second woman overall in the second staging of the Fore 10 & 5 km road races. 5km.....Dermot Leonard 18.44 5th place;David Hawcroft 23.23 25th overall:10K......Robert Farrell 40.36 6th place; Ellen Vitting 43.05 11th overall and 2nd woman.
