Sean Murphy second in Dingle Marathon
There was a great result at the Dingle Marathon for Sean Murphy our top marathon runner finished second to Eoin Sugrue in a time of 2h49m. The course which includes some stunning scenery is also one of the most challenging in terms of terrain and conditions. The route takes the runners through Ventry, Dunquin, Slea Head, Ballyferriter with a very tough final part incuding a stiff climb at Knockavrogeen through Kilfountain to the finish in Dingle. Sean beat his previous best time for the course and is pleased to have gone one better to claim second overall this year. He is now looking forward to the relative flatness of Dublin on the October Bank Holiday for his next marathon effort.
