Fingal 10km
Over 4000 people took part in the Fingal 10km road race in Swords on Sunday. The Fingal 10k is the only race in the Dublin Race Series held outside of the Phoenix Park. It attracted huge participation rate among runners who are planning to take on the Dublin City Marathon in October .The next race in the series is the FRANK DUFFY 10 miles which will be in the Phoenix Park on Sat 22 Aug at 11am.
The Trim results from the Fingal 10km were Laura Cotter 43:26, Paul Hegarty 46:22, Mary Carr 46:52, Mark Boshell 48:18, Paula Hegarty 48:45, Enda Gallagher 49:32, Mark Ginnerty 50:10, Valerie Malone 51:52, Mick Peppard 52:23, Sharon Campbell 54:17.
Mullingar 10 Miles
Claire Smith put in a great run at the 2nd Mullingar Harriers AC 10 mile road race at Dalystown, Mullingar last Sunday. The Trim runner ran 1.11.48 to claim third place in the W40 grade. The other TRIM AC results were Mark McGee,63.33;Enda Markey,64.57;Barry Harten,65.34;Barry Clarke,74.04.
PORTARLINGTON HALF
The Escargot Half Marathon was staged in Portarlington on Sunday 11 July. Maureen Lowther ran a great 1.38 to finish 4th woman home.

Sunday 26 July Bettystown 5 Mile Road Race CILLES AC 11am
Enjoy a run in the new B-5. The B-5 is a five mile run in Bettystown Co Meath.
This Brand new event on the calender is an event for everybody! The distance is challanging for those who have already done 5k yet the course is mostly flat and fast which will attract the finest athletes in the country.
There is a prize fund in excess of €2000 which will attract athletes in all categories.
