County Athletics Awards

In the track category for junior athletes Harry Purcell was a winner. During the year Harry won national titles in schools and club championships in the 400m and his specialist event the 800 metres. He has emerged as one of Ireland finest middle distance talents over the past eighteen months. He represented Ireland at the  Celtic Games, a schools track and field competition. He set a championship record in his international debut, another great achievement for a great achiever.

Also at the county awards Shane Astons mother, Moira our club registrar won the masters field events award in recognition of her success in the Leinster sand national masters track and field championships.

 

Join our club

We have juvenile and adult training groups. We cover track and field, cross country, road running and trail/ mountain running. Club coaches have undertaken Athletics Ireland coaching courses and many of them bring years of experience and knowledge to share with members.
