The beautiful woodland and parkland surroundings of Emo Court provided a wonderful setting for the St Michaels AC 8km trail run last Friday. Weather conditions were perfect for the event. First home for Trim AC was Mark Melia who went on to contest 3 races over the weekend including the county 5 mile championship and the Battle of Clontarf 10 miler in and around St Annes Park & Clontarf/Sutton.
Trim times in Emo were Mark Melia ,30.46;Don Mahon,31.28;Ellen Vitting,33.56;Ciaran Tobin,36.08,Ann Tobin,38.52.
High Noon in Kildalkey
The county 5 mile road race was incorporated into the Fr Murphy AC 5 mile race in Kildalkey on Easter Sunday. There was a good turnout from Trim AC. Our club mens and womens teams finished just outside the medal in the fiercely contested team competitions.
Well done particularly in the non championship "Open Race" to Enda Markey M45 2nd, Laura Cotter W40,2nd, Brian Cully, M55,2nd and Pat Comey,M60,2nd.
