Good results at Trooperstown run

Posted by Ciaran Tobin on 16 February 2015

Trooperstown Co Wicklow was the venue for the latest round of the IMRA winter league. The course was nearly 11km long with most of the climbing in the 7 to 8 per cent gradient range and the most challenging part of the run coming in the final descent which was a very steep 25% in the final 2km. Conditions were mixed underfoot especially on the open mountain sections.

Ellen Vitting put in a very good run to finish second overall and first senior. Two minutes behind Ellen was Maureen Lowther who ran an excellent race to finish third in the W40 category. The third Trim runner home was Ann Tobin who was second in the W50 grade.
