Husband and wife take on Ironman Australia

Best of luck to our colleagues Denise and Michael Molloy who take on Ironman Australia on Sunday 5 May. They have put in months of preparation for the event with countless long sessions of swimming, cycling and running over the harshest months of the year. The Kilbride couple kicked off their programmes of endurance work soon after the completion of the Dublin City Marathon for Denise and the Race around Ireland cycle race for Micheal last autumn.
Their winter was one of juggling their commitments to training, work and and family and balancing it all with hard earned rest and recovery. Both are regulars at road races and cross country events around the county, They have numerous duathlons to their credit. Denise has made massive improvements in her swimming in the past two years and has gone from sprint triathlons to Ironman in "jigtime" . Michael will bring the valuable experience from his RAI cycle endurance training of last year into this event. They have diligently applied themselves to their training plans and are now on countdown to what will be a momentous day in their sporting careers.
Best of luck to both from all at Trim AC.
