Intermediate CC title for Sean Murphy

Posted by Ciaran Tobin on 11 December 2017

Sean Murphy showed great strength, patience and an appetite for hard work when he pushed on in the final lap of the 2017 Meath Intermediate cross country championships at Bohermeen. Conditions on the day were challenging but having won the county mastersĀ and finishing third in the county novice in October Sean sensed an opportunity for another win when he prevailed over the final hilly section to pull clear of Ronan Wogan, Bohermeen and Paddy Peters,Dunboyne who had kept him company from the early stages.

Next Trim man home was Enda Markey who is putting in a great shift for the club cause this cross country season and is delighted with how his preparation off road is paying off. The other members of the Trim team were Maurice Brennan, Sean O Connor and Michael Molloy.

Ellen Vitting was 4th in the womens intermediate and led our womens team to 4th spot in the inter clubs. Next home for the club was Leonie Dyar who has been a revelation over cross country this winter, while Denise Molloy, Emma Parkinson and Irene Curley completed the squad.
