Juvenile XC relay medal wins
Posted by Ciaran Tobin on 23 November 2018
Well done to all our youngsters who turned out in great weather conditions for the Meath XC Relays on Sun. 18 November.
The course at Navan Adventure Centre was in tip top condition and brought out great performances from the hundreds of runners who attended.
Our club got out ten teams from under 10s up to under 16 grades and three of those teams brought home medals. It was brilliant to see the enthusiasm of our under 10s and 12s , many of whom were getting their first taste of cross country running under the guidance of Mary Carr, Louise Cotter, Mairead Heffernan, Anke Hannuka
The older squads who work with Pat and Elaine did very well and they are pictured below. Congrats to all and looking forward to getting similar numbers out for the remaining rounds of the juvenile XC league at Trim and Navan. (A great low / no pressure event to ease kids into cross country running)
The Trim event will be in conjunction with our club hosting the county masters in Porchfields on Sunday 2 December . We are looking forward to huge numebrs of red and white stripes of all ages taking to the grass with vim and vigour.
Well done and thanks to Meath .Athletics and Navan AC for hosting the relays.
