Midweek action in Oldcastle and the Phoenix Park

OLDCASTLE 5km

The Oldcastle 5km is hosted by St Brigids AC and this was the 10th running of the popular event. The race started and finished at the Market Square and headed out on a loop of well marshalled quiet rural roads.

Teenager Sarah Caulfield ran a very strong race to cross the line as th placed woman in a time of 20.51. The first of our men was David O'Connor in a time of 17.42.  There was a very strong masters representation form the club in this race including Pat Corcoran who was well pleased with his 20.46 time.

Round 3 Belpark Duathlon series

Ellen Vitting continues to enjoy great success in the Dublin Duathlon series. On Weds 10 July she put in a fantastic performance to win round three of the Belpark promotioon in a time of 41.23 with a comfortable margin of victory and a particularly strong cycle phase. Jonathon Nangle put in another strong effort to finsh fourth overall in 39.17.

Join our club

We have juvenile and adult training groups. We cover track and field, cross country, road running and trail/ mountain running. Club coaches have undertaken Athletics Ireland coaching courses and many of them bring years of experience and knowledge to share with members.
