Montana to Trim

Bozeman, Montana has a large Irish community dating back to the 19th century. Every March the 317 Pub in the city organizes a 10km and half marathon. Each entrant qualifies for a draw in which four runners are chosen for an all expenses trip to Ireland for the Dublin City Marathon.
In October Maggie Joyce took part in the marathon and spent a few extra days touring Leinster. One of her trips took her to the Boyne Valley and Trim Castle. She and the 317 Pub are part of an ongoing Gathering among the large Irish community which settled in Montana all those years ago.
