Massive congrats to Shane Aston who has won the National Decathlon senior championship with a total of 6398 points. The breakdown was as follows 100m; 11.28s 799pts;Long jump; 6.50m 697pts; Shot 11.61m 583pts;High jump; 1.82m 644pts; 400m 51.81s 733pts; 110mH 15.23s 822pts; Discus 33.72m 538pts; Pole Vault 3.60m 509pts;Javelin 48.54m 567pts; 1500m 5m.09.59s 506pts TOTAL 6398pts.
We have juvenile and adult training groups. We cover track and field, cross country, road running and trail/ mountain running. Club coaches have undertaken Athletics Ireland coaching courses and many of them bring years of experience and knowledge to share with members.
