The National Half Marathon Championships took place in conjunction with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon on Sunday, 2nd of August. The event brought together Ireland’s leading club athletes in the battle for individual and team glory. Many of Ireland’s leading lights took to the capitals roads on Sunday as they fine tuned their preparations for autumn marathons. There were bands at each mile marker to inspire the runners. They were a welcome relief from the woeful weather conditions.

Our first runner home was Andrew Revington who was 7th in M45 grade with a time of 1h28.54 next in was Stephen Keane,1h33.56, Andrew Reilly,1h42.09. Our sole female runner was Claire Prout in 2h10.
