Quest Kenmare Champion

Ellen Vitting returned to her native Co. Kerry this weekend to undertake the challenge that is QUEST KENMARE, She took part in the 79km Expert event.
Ellens challenge which took place in very tough wet and windy conditions over some of the toughest , wildest terrain for adventure racing in Ireland. It included road cycling, kayak, trail and road running over a combined distance of 79km in and around Kenmare, Templenoe, Bonane in SW Kerry.
On completion Ellen described this years race as" ten times harder than usual due to the woeful weather, but all the more satistying to emerge from it with a win." (As a warm up she won the Setanta Duathlon at Carrickarnon, Ravensdale last weekend)
Quest Kenmare is a one-day multi-sport race. It takes place in the beautiful rugged surrounds of Kenmare town in the South West of Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way. This race gives competitors the chance to run, cycle and kayak some of the most dramatic, breathtaking and remote scenery in the world.
