Shane Aston going to Euro combined competition

The Irish team has been selected for the European Combined Events Cup to take place in Monzon, Spain from the 1st-2nd of July.
The men have a strong trio of Michael Bowler (Enniscorthy AC), Shane Aston (Trim AC) and Rolus Olusa (Clonliffe Harriers). Bowler has been based in England in recent years with Aston and Olusa home-based. All three will be looking to combine for a strong team showing.
The women’s team includes rising star Katherine O'Connor (St Gerards AC) who has been in form of late in schools and juvenile competitions. Most recently she leapt 6.10m in the long jump at the Leinster Juveniles. She is joined on the team by Sarah Connolly (North Down AC) and Amy McTeggart (Boyne AC). McTeggart has also been in good form lately winning a number of medals at the CSIT Games in Riga, Latvia as part of an Athletics Leinster team.
