Top 10 in the 10

On a great day for running , a record number of runners went under orders for the 2020 Nallys Supervalu TRIM 10 mile road race. Yared Darese, Carrick Aces went well under 5 minute mile pace except mile seven. The currrent national half marathon champions put in a tremendous display of brave front running to score a clear win ahead of Eric Keogh, Donore Harriers with international cross country runner Hugh Armstrong making up the podium spots. Next home was 2019 winner Colin Griffin from Ballinamore AC.
In the Womens race Ciara Durkin, Skerrries AC was an equally emphatic winner crossing the finish line in a superb 59.16. Regular visitor to our race Isobel Oakes was second in 60.52 and Caroline Donnellan Edenderry AC who has strong Trim and Longwood connections came home in third place just one second behind.
