Cushinstown & Athlone Training Comp - 25th January 2015
Some of our younger athletes took part in what was their first ever competitive race, but it gave them a feel of what they can look forward to this year. Congratulations to Kyle Murphy and Luke Gallagher in reaching the finals of the 60M sprint. Congratulations also go out to Niamh McMorrow, Aoibhe McMorrow, Aoife Gallagher, Sarah Caulfield and Donal McGale who also took part in their age level 60m sprint.
Cushinstown AC Sports Centre: Inter-club T&F league - 25th February 2014 Day 1 (a)
Congratulation to our Trim Athletes who took part in the first of the Inter-Club league events for 2015. There was the 60m sprint and Long jump and huge congratulations go out to Petra Harten, Zoe McEvoy, Esha Hughes, Ciaran McGee and Gearoid McGee.
Lismullen 3Km race - 1st March 2015
Well done to Tadhg Carty in 4th place for the 3Km road race in Lismullen in the U17. Well done to our new athletes this year Millie Carty and Aine Cotter for also taking part in the 3Km road race and to future new comer Max Carty.
Leinster Indoors Championships 2015: Days 3 & 4 - 7th & 8th March 2015 - Athone International Arena
Congratulations to our following juvenile athletes who participated in the Leinster Indoors T&F down in Athlone.
Alanna Gonsalves, Olivia Gonsalves, Emma Rennick, Caoimhe Rowe, Niamh Fahey, Aimee Molloy, Aoife Swords, John Halton, Hannah Gilligan, Esha Hughes, Jenna Gonsalves, Leah Mahon and Aine Mahon. They competed in different events - 60M, 600M, 1500M, 60M hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump and relays.
Alanna was 3rd in U18 Long Jump and there were lots of great performances from the group with athletes qualifying for semi finals, achieving PBs, and top 10 placings. Well done on all their achievements.
Secondary School News
Well done to John Halton, Michael Hegarty and Gearoid McGee who took part in the relay races in Boyne CS on 6th March.
In the all Ireland Secondary schools Cross Country in Clongwoes Wood college on 7th March, Lillian Brady competed for her school in the Minor girls race.
