Busy weekend yields results

A very busy few days for members of TRIM AC at a number of events and home and abroad.
In south west France Audrey McHale McDonnell had her first overseas success when she took the honours in the Saint Agustin road race staged over the rarely raced distance of 7km.
At the latest round of the National Triathlon series Ellen Vitting put in a great performance in Loughrea, co Galway to take top spot in her age group and 6th place overall. Earlier in the week on Weds 1st August Ellen finished 3rd in the Clonard 4 mile RR.
The season of strong duathlon performances for Denise Molloy continued with a convincing win in the Virginia Tri club duathlon which was staged on the lakeshore forest trails and the cycle route of the Virginia Tri.
Ernest Asensio Blasco won the Virginia Triathlon in a time of 64m07. He was 5th out of the water, 3rd off the bike and put in a storming run on the beautiful trails to come out tops.
Back home in his native Galway David O'Connor ran a great race at the Headford 8km for 3rd overall in 29m07.
Laura Cotter is having a great season and has a particularly good strike rate at races in the east of the county. in the Duleek 10km on Sunday 5 August the humid conditions and the oft mentioned incline did not deter another strong effort from Laura who came away with anoter age group win in W40 grade.
