Athletics Ireland recognises the top young athletes in each county every year though its Star Awards. The presentation ceremony takes place each year in Tullamore.
The 2019 Meath award winner was Caoimhe Rowe. It was a very good year for Caoimhe who medalled in events as diverse as the 400m hurdles and the hammer. Caoimhe had a fine year in schools and club level in combined events with medals in Leinster championships and nationals. It was a very fitting finale to her final year in the juvenile ranks. She has now moved on the junior (under 20s) grade and has moved into colleges competition also with the very strong DCU set up.
Indoor Performance: Bronze National Indoor Junior Combined Events
Outdoor Performance: Bronze in National U19 400m Hurdles

Caoimhe also won a number of Leinster medals, indoors, outdoors and schools. Over a number of events including 400m, 400m hurdles, hammer and Combined events.
