AVRIL O’NEILL WINTERS
1.When did you start running
In School I was on every team and loved all sports though the thrill of Cross Country was one of my favourites.
2. How did you end up joining the club
My husband suggested I give it a go and during the first run on a Tues evening I was thinking Genie Mackers this is tough though the Beautiful Michelle Mc Cormack said “the toughest part is behind you Av” and that brought me back on the Thurs eve. Thank You
3. Favourite race(Excluding the Trim 10 Miler and Braveheart 5k)
Definitely The Relay in the Wicklow Mountains so thankful to Ann Tobin for introducing me to it and to All of the Club Members I Trained and Raced with up there with Pure Bliss Thanks to All
Keeping it local I love Longwood and Summerhill 10k for the hills
4. What do you crave after a run
A Shower
5. Pre-race meal
Porridge/Coffee
6. Miles or KM
No preference though I love it when I have the watch in miles and I think it’s km and realise later that the kids and I have done more than we thought
7. Any race superstition
None Thankfully
8. Track, road or XC?
Definitely XC with lots of Mud/Hills & Rain
9. Why do you run ?
Freedom
10. Best running memory?
Running in the Mountains at any time is Magic
11. What do you miss most from a running perspective during lockdown?
Running with an Awesome Club
12. Most memorable race that you didn’t compete in
Bohermeen Half Marathon just Love Seeing and Cheering on Our Candy Colours coming in early. We have so many Strong Athletes both Male and Female and it’s a great buzz knowing that your part of such Success. Love Trim AC

Sean Murphy Ellen Vitting
Both show Awesome Strength with Ease and Grace
14. Split shorts or tight shorts
Need to invest in shorts as I usually run in 3/4 lengths
15. What do you listen to during a run( music/podcast)
Nature if it’s short and Napoleon Hill or something like it for long runs
